Key Responsibilities of the Role:
- Code emails based on design files from creative team or direction from marketing managers
- QA and troubleshooting html files using Litmus, Email on Acid, or similar inbox rendering tools
- Maintain content library within Adobe Experience Manager and advise in planning and delivery of assets across audience segments
- Collaborate with Marketing leads to determine scope for new projects and opportunities
- Ensure email campaigns deploying across multiple internal systems adhere to industry best practices
- Research and stay ahead of updates with email clients, platforms, or devices which may require changes to email templates
- Assist in documentation of internal best practice and process development documentation
- Have a strong understanding of email marketing platforms (e.g. Adobe, Salesforce, Oracle, etc.)
- Collaborate with internal teams and product lines of business to make optimizations around design/code based on email metrics
- Recommend forward thinking strategies, tests and innovations
- Knowledgeable about industry trends and email best practices and passionate about digital marketing and how to identify new partners and trends
What it takes to catch our eye
- Knowledge of Adobe and Salesforce in particular is important – one of them should be very self-sufficient and lead well!
- Experience with Dreamweaver, HTML a strong plus
- Review all asset files to ensure they adhere to business requirements.
- QA all campaigns prior to deployment to validate links, images, subject lines, personalization, and audience segments are set up correctly
- Shared ownership and management of email calendar
- Document business rules for email campaigns and define testing plans with keen eye for driving customer engagement
- Report and analyze campaign results and socialize trends and learnings to improve channel performance
- Participate in email planning and creative review meetings
- Assist with list management of email marketing database
- Troubleshoot technical issues related to html, list segmentation, deployment, and reporting
- Continually perform competitive analysis of industry best practices and trends
- Have a strong understanding of email marketing platforms (e.g. Adobe, Salesforce, Hubspot, Mailchimp, etc.)
- Recommend forward thinking strategies, tests and innovations.
- Support managers to also present findings (weekly or, monthly as needed); collaborate with internal teams and product lines of business to make optimizations.
