Job Role & Responsibilities

• Should have strong Oracle administration skills on Linux
• Experience on Red Hat Enterprise Linux/ System troubleshooting
• Experience in creating databases in multitenant Architecture (CDB and PDB) & on Single & Multi node Oracle RAC systems
• Implemented an alerting system for issues such as disk space depletion or high CPU usage by processes on the server
• Managed and supported a large Oracle & SQL-Server database including backups, restores, monitoring, and performance tuning
• Has experience in database troubleshooting and support in production environments
• Experience in Performance Tuning and Optimization, using native monitoring and troubleshooting tools
• Experience in troubleshooting and resolving database integrity issues, performance issues, blocking and deadlocking issues, replication issues, log shipping issues, connectivity issues, security issues etc.
• Batch processing and support, including provision of periodic weekend / on-call support
• Understanding of streaming and batch process with understanding of data in transit and data at rest
• Strong knowledge of various DB management operations.
• Documentation skills for processes and procedures (creating KBs,runbooks, topology etc.)
• Strong in following set-processes & procedures

Must Have Skills:

• 4+ years of experience in providing DBA support for L2/L3.
• Skill Sets: Support Operations – Monitor, Report, Troubleshoot Issues
• Experience with Database Administration for Oracle Server & Azure,(SQL-Server)
• Experience in troubleshooting and resolving database problems
• Experience in Installation and Creation of 12c – 19c Databases &developing various database backup & recovery strategies using Cold Backup & Hot Backup
• Experience in configuration and working with RMAN (Recovery
• Manager) & database cloning/refresh through RMAN
• Experience in implementing operational automation using scripts
• Experience on Upgrading the databases to latest oracle version 19c from 12C
• Knowledge of index management, and statistics
• Experience in applying patches as per the Oracle security policy &
• Database Reorganization and tuning for better performance
• Good communication and documentation skills

Good to have skills: Desirable Skills:

• Documentation skills for processes and procedures
• Knowledge of High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) optional
• Knowledge of 3rd party DBA automation tools and applications (Like Jenkins, Stonebranch, Github etc. )
• Implemented migration tasks from Oracle On-Prim to Cloud databases OCA/ OCP/ OCM certification
• Knowledge in scripting language like BASH jobs, Kron jobs,Powershell
• Good oral and written communication skills
• Understanding of ITIL framework and support center operations
• Ability to handle multiple concurrent tasks at the same time
• Working knowledge of OIC (Oracle Integration Cloud) and OCI
• (Oracle Cloud Infra) experience would be additional advantage
