Job Description:
In this role, the EDI Support professional will be essential in maintaining and enhancing the electronic data interchange (EDI) operations for a leading nutrition company that offers consumer brands and ingredients for sports, health, and lifestyle. The individual will perform daily support tasks, including monitoring system performance, investigating and resubmitting failed transactions, and providing various other support functions to ensure seamless data exchange.
Primary Skill: EDI, IBM Sterling, Strong Communication skills
Role & Responsibilities:
- 5+ years of Experience
- Conduct daily checks on EDI systems to ensure smooth operation and identify any issues.
- Investigate and resolve failed EDI transactions promptly to minimize disruption.
- Resubmit failed tasks and ensure accurate data exchange between systems.
- Collaborate with the EDI team to provide support and assist in troubleshooting complex issues.
- Document processes and maintain records of system performance and issues.
- Provide user support and training to enhance understanding and utilization of EDI systems.
Required Skills
- Experience with EDI standards such as ANSI X12, EDIFACT, or XML.
- Proficiency in IBM Sterling integration tools and technologies.
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail for identifying and resolving issues.
- Effective communication skills to collaborate with technical teams and business stakeholders.
- Problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to managing daily support tasks.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.
Preferred Qualifications / Skills
- Familiarity with Gentran mapping or similar EDI tools.
- Understanding of supply chain processes and logistics operations.
- Experience with SAP integration processes and technologies.
- Knowledge of data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI.
