As My SQL DBA, here’s what you can do at Trantor:
- Provision RDS instances, both in stand-alone, clustered, replica, cross-region replica
- Ensure performance, security, and availability of databases.
- Prepare documentation and specifications.
- Handle common database procedures, such as upgrade, backup, recovery, migration, etc.
- Profile server resource usage, optimize and tweak as necessary.
- Collaborate with other team members and stakeholders.
As My SQL DBA ,here’s what you will bring:
- Strong proficiency in MySQL & Postgres database management
- In-depth understanding of data management (e.g. permissions, recovery, security and monitoring)
- Ensure all database programs meet company and performance requirements.
- Should be hands-on in tuning & Optimizing SQL queries and stored procedures.
- Optimize sql statements, especially for data-load & data-update.
- Decent experience with recent versions of AWS RDS & MySQL
- Understanding of MySQL’s underlying storage engines, such as InnoDB and MyISAM
- Knowledge of de-facto standards and best practices in MySQL
- Knowledge of MySQL features, such as its event scheduler
- Ability to plan resource requirements from high level specifications.Knowledge of limitations in MySQL
- A broad familiarity with existing standards in contrast to other popular relational databases
- Good knowledge of AWS, RDS
- SQL Concepts (Basic + Advanced)
- Troubleshooting skills
- Proficient understanding of code versioning tools such as {{Git / SVN}}
