Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Salesforce Release engineer – Copado Developer/Administrator to join our team to work on the onboarding of Copado, a Salesforce release management tool. In this role, you will play a crucial part in configuring, customizing, and optimizing Copado to enhance our release management processes.
Mandatory Requirements:
Copado Administration:
- Proven experience as a Copado administrator in Salesforce environments.
- Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in configuring and customizing Copado.
Salesforce Expertise:
- Strong understanding of Salesforce metadata and CPQ data deployments.
- Proven experience as a Salesforce administrator.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience working with Salesforce.Release Management:
- Proficiency in Salesforce release management processes.
- Hands-on experience with Copado components, including branches, pipelines, CPQ Data Deploy setup, Data Deploy templates, and deployment processes.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in release management within a Salesforce environment.
Version Control and CI/CD:
- Expertise in version control systems, with a focused expertise on Git repositories.
- Proven experience in implementing and maintaining CI/CD processes within Copado.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in CI/CD processes and Git repositories.
Automation and Scripting:
- Experience in automating build and deployment tasks.
- Development and maintenance of automation scripts for deployment processes.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in automation and scripting related to release management.
Deployment Tools:
- Familiarity with deployment tools such as Salesforce DX, CodeScan, and PMD.
- Experience in integrating Copado seamlessly with other tools and services.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience with relevant deployment tools.
- Overall – 5+ years of experience as Salesforce Release engineer
Optional Requirements:
Certifications:
- Salesforce Administrator Certification.
- Copado Certification.
- Additional Salesforce or Copado certifications are a plus.
Training and Support:
- Previous experience providing training and support to end-users, developers, and administrators on Copado release management processes and tools.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in providing training and support.
Cross-functional Collaboration:
- Demonstrated ability to coordinate closely with cross-functional teams to understand release requirements and timelines within the Copado framework.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in cross-functional collaboration.
Continuous Improvement:
- Proven ability to identify and capitalize on opportunities for continuous improvement in Copado configurations and processes.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in continuous improvement initiatives.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Configure and customize Copado to align seamlessly with organizational release management processes.
- Set up Copado components, including branches, pipelines, CPQ Data Deploy setup, Data Deploy templates, and deployment processes.
- Integrate Copado seamlessly with other tools and services such as Salesforce DX, CodeScan, and PMD.
- Implement and maintain robust CI/CD processes within Copado.
- Automate build and deployment tasks to enhance the efficiency of the release pipeline.
- Manage and configure version control systems, with a focused expertise on Git repositories.
- Implement effective branching and merging strategies for efficient code management.
- Develop and maintain automation scripts, augmenting deployment processes for heightened efficiency.
- Create comprehensive training materials, conduct informative training sessions, and generate documentation for Copado users.
- Implement change management processes, ensuring a seamless transition to Copado.
- Establish monitoring mechanisms and generate insightful reports on key performance indicators.
- Implement and maintain security measures within Copado to safeguard sensitive information.
- Identify and capitalize on opportunities for continuous improvement in Copado configurations and processes.
Implement and enforce best practices for code and configuration management within the Copado environment - Provide training and support to end-users, developers, and administrators on Copado release management processes and tools.
- Provide continuous support to Copado users, promptly addressing technical issues and guiding teams through the onboarding process.
- Coordinate closely with cross-functional teams to understand release requirements and timelines within the Copado framework.
- Handle Salesforce deployments, including customizations, configurations, and CPQ data configurations in Salesforce.
- Stay informed about Copado updates and Salesforce best practices, ensuring compliance with security and governance standards.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Proven experience as a Copado administrator in Salesforce environments.
- Strong understanding of Salesforce metadata and CPQ data deployments.
- Proficiency in Salesforce, Copado, GitHub, CI/CD processes, and other relevant deployment tools.
- Proven experience as a Salesforce administrator.
- Salesforce and Copado certifications are a plus
