Platform Privacy Notice

This Platform Privacy Notice outlines Trantor, Inc.’s data handling practices for customer success services. It applies to Trantor, Inc. and its affiliated companies


Trantor is providing exceptional customer success services. As part of our service delivery, we may have access to our client’s end-customer data, which includes but is not limited to email addresses, names, phone numbers, and hardware specifications. This data will be strictly used within our secure customer support platform to provide efficient assistance to the client’s end-customers. We will not transfer or process this data on our systems, and its usage will adhere to the client’s established data privacy and security policies.

1. Collection of Personal Information

Personal Information refer to any piece of information that can be used to identify a data subject. Example: Name, Address, Telephone Number, Date of Birth, Personal Identification Numbers (SSN, Passport, Taxpayer Identification number etc.), Photographic Images, log in details etc.


Trantor Inc. collects the following information when data subject uses the platform:

anniversaries or on occasional basis

Information that Trantor Inc. collect through automatic data collection technologies:

Web Server Logs

Web server logs are records of activity created by the computer that delivers the webpages, the data subject requests to their browser. The web server log also may record information about data subject’s browsers such as version number, browser agent, IP address and the cookies set on the browser by the server

Device Information

We may collect information about the mobile device or computer used to access the Platform, including without limitation the hardware model, operating system and version, browser type, unique device identifiers, and mobile network information

Social Networking Sites

If data subject log into their account through other third-party services not operated by Trantor or our customers (example: Facebook Connect), Trantor collects information such as Facebook user ID, profile pictures, birth date, and friend list

Geolocation

Trantor uses geolocation of the data subject to pair them with appropriate customer information

2. Use of Personal Information

Trantor collects personal information primarily to deliver the content and services requested by Users through the Platform and to tailor offerings to their interests. Additionally, Trantor may use this information for a variety of purposes, including but not limited to :



  • Diagnosing issues with the platform, improving its content, administering the platform, and enhancing the overall user experience.

  • Monitoring platform usage and performance to generate aggregate data about users and usage patterns.

  • Customizing content and services that may appeal to users.

  • Facilitating transactions and processing payments.

  • Sending users updates, materials, and product information related to the platform or customer services.

  • Providing maintenance, support, and customer service for the platform.

  • Verifying user information.

  • Contacting users (or assisting customers in contacting users) for marketing purposes.


Trantor does not process personal data related to criminal convictions, offenses, or associated security measures.

3. Sharing of Information

Trantor does not sell, rent, or share the personal information of data subjects. However, Trantor does share this information with the appropriate data controllers, as it processes data on behalf of multiple controllers. Trantor only processes personal information according to the instructions provided by the data controllers, and contracts are in place to govern these relationships.


Additionally, Trantor markets products and services to data subjects on behalf of the data controllers. For instance, Trantor may collaborate with a cosponsor to offer promotions or special deals that could be of interest to data subjects.


Use of data processors and further processing:


Trantor may share personal information, such as birthdays, with service providers to offer promotional deals to data subjects. These service providers act as data processors under contracts with Trantor, ensuring that they only use personal information as directed by Trantor. They are prohibited from sharing personal information with any other organization and are required to keep it secure and retain it only for the period specified by Trantor.

4. Children’s under the age of 13

The Platform is not intended for or directed at children, and it should not be used by anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are under 13, please do not use this platform, provide any information on or through it, register on the platform, make purchases, use any of its features, or share any personal details with us, including your name, address, telephone number, email address, or any screen or user name you may use. If we become aware that we have collected personal information from a child under 13 without parental consent, we will delete that information. If you believe we may have received information from or about a child under 13, please contact us at DPO@trantorinc.com.

5. Access to your information and correction

Trantor can provide data subjects with a copy of the personal information it holds. If the data subjects would like a copy of some or all of your personal information, please email or write to Trantor at DPO@trantorinc.com.


Trantor is committed to ensuring that your information is accurate and up-to-date. Data subjects may request Trantor to correct or remove any information you believe is inaccurate.


Additionally, Trantor offers an edit profile option for the data subjects to keep your personal information current. Please note that Trantor may charge a reasonable fee for repetitive requests as a service for providing this information.

6. How we protect personal information

We have implemented measures to protect your personal information from accidental loss, as well as unauthorized access, use, alteration, and disclosure. All information you provide is stored on Cloud Servers in an encrypted format. Additionally, all transactions, of any kind, are encrypted using TLS technology.

7. Data Retention

Trantor will delete a data subject’s personal information from its systems if there has been no meaningful contact for 12 months. If data subject wishes to cancel their account or request that information need not be processed any further, please contact us at DPO@trantorinc.com.


By “meaningful contact,” we refer to any form of communication between us (whether verbal or written) or active engagement with our online services.


We retain personal information only as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected or as required by law.

8. How can you access, amend or take back the personal data you’ve given to us?

One of the primary goals of the GDPR is to protect and clarify the rights of EU citizens and residents regarding data privacy. This means that you retain several rights over your personal data, even after sharing it with us. These rights are outlined in detail below:



  • Trantor offers data subjects the option to stop the processing of their personal information at any time.

  • Trantor allows data subjects to withdraw their consent at any time.

  • Trantor provides data subjects with the option to erase their personal information.

  • Trantor allows data subjects to restrict the processing of their personal information. This means that Trantor will only store your data and will not carry out any further processing activities unless:

    • Data subject provides consent.

    • The processing is necessary for the exercise or defense of legal claims, the protection of the rights of another person, or for reasons of important public interest of the Union or a Member State.



  • Trantor enables data subjects to port their personal data. To facilitate this, Trantor will provide your personal information in a commonly used, machine-readable format that is password-protected, allowing you to transfer the data to another online platform.

  • Trantor gives data subjects the option to opt out of automated individual decision-making, including profiling.

  • Trantor allows data subjects to lodge a complaint with their local supervisory authority.

9. Commitment to comply with the EU-U.S. DPF & the UK Extension to the EU-U.S. DPF

One of the primary goals of the GDPR is to protect and clarify the rights of EU citizens and residents regarding data privacy. This means that you retain several rights over your personal data, even after sharing it with us. These rights are outlined in detail below:



  • Trantor, Inc. complies with the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework (EU-U.S. DPF) and the UK Extension to the EU-U.S. DPF, as set forth by the U.S. Department of Commerce. Trantor, Inc has certified to the U.S. Department of Commerce that it adheres to the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework Principles (EU-U.S. DPF Principles) with regard to the processing of personal data received from the European Union and the United Kingdom in reliance on the EU-U.S. DPF and the UK Extension to the EU-U.S. DPF. If there is any conflict between the terms in this privacy policy and the EU-U.S. DPF Principles, the Principles shall govern.   • Trantor falls under the investigative and enforcement authority of the Federal Trade Commission (FTC).

  • Trantor is obligated to arbitrate claims and follow the terms as set forth in Annex I of the DPF Principles, provided that an individual has invoked binding arbitration by delivering notice to your organization and following the procedures and subject to conditions set forth in Annex I of Principles.

  • Trantor is committed to disclose personal information in response to lawful requests by public authorities, including to meet national security or law enforcement requirements.

  • Trantor may be subject to liability for onward transfers of personal data to third parties.

  • In compliance with the EU-U.S. DPF and the UK Extension to the EU-U.S. DPF, Trantor commits to refer unresolved complaints concerning our handling of personal data received in reliance on the EU-U.S. DPF and the UK Extension to the EU-U.S. DPF to JAMS. If you do not receive timely acknowledgment of your DPF Principles-related complaint from us, or if we have not addressed your DPF Principles-related complaint to your satisfaction, please visit https://www.jamsadr.com/DPF-Dispute-Resolution for more information or to file a complaint. The services of JAMS are provided at no cost to you.
